Our Story

Charger Construction is local, family owned

While Charger Construction was established January, 2010, the history of how it came to originate had over 35 years of knowledge and expertise by its owner, Tim Washburn. A graduate of Northern Arizona University in Construction Management and Industrial Supervision, Tim’s relentless drive to deliver construction projects to a variety of business owners led him to build Charger Construction, LLC., a Nevada and Utah based firm. In 2016, Washburn Builders, LLC was formed to service our customer base in California and Arizona.

Charger Construction truly is a family business with our controller, estimating and office management team members all being family. The team, as a whole, have become our family. Our people matter. Helping our employees become good leaders and knowledgeable managers is our goal. Together, we are better.

Management Team

Tim's Bio

The founding owner of Charger Construction. Tim has over 30+ years of experience that includes management of one of the country’s largest and most successful general contractors in the southwest, division manager of an international engineering firms’ construction management division, and land development manager for infrastructure of one of the largest home builders in the nation. Tim directs the strategic planning and business development of the company. A 1988 graduate of Northern Arizona University in Industrial Supervision and Construction Management, his leadership and expertise in the industry is helping to create superior leaders.

Ryan's Bio

As the license holder of the Nevada State Contractors Board construction licenses, Ryan’s leadership and knowledge of construction means and methods is highly ranked. As a second-generation graduate of Northern Arizona University in Construction Management and Business Management, Ryan has set his expectations high for the future of Charger Construction. Ryan manages some of the company’s most complex and challenging projects. Notably, they include Axiom Office Complex and Parking Garage including a high-end, four story, 80,000 sq foot glass exterior office complex and a three story, post tensioned parking garage, Galaxy Theaters Boulevard Mall, 24/7 Call Center, Kiddie Academy, Multiple HCP Medical Offices and Complexes, Teletech Call Center, Multiple retail centers and John’s Incredible Pizza. Contract values for these projects range from $2.5 to $24 Million dollars.

Tyler's Bio:

Of the vast qualities of Tyler’s management abilities, superior customer service is among his most admirable. Holding a Construction Management and Business Management degree from Northern Arizona University, Tyler’s construction knowledge and problem-solving abilities are focused on continuing to build a legacy for the company. While maintaining one of Charger Construction’s most proud core values; delivering projects on time and within budget, equally important are satisfied customers. Holding the Utah and Arizona contractor licenses have elevated the divisional opportunities for the company. Managing projects such as McCarthy Construction’s corporate offices, Global Refining, Carey/Revere, an 8,000 SF commercial building, two custom homes each over 10,000 SF, Multiple tenant improvements, RAW Fitness headquarters as well as several tenant improvements for RAW, and Health Care Partners projects, Tyler’s prove himself to be a valuable leader.
